Lion and the Wildebeest: Predator and Prey (giclée limited edition print of 30)

Predator-Prey Relationship:
Lions and wildebeests share a dynamic predator-prey relationship. Wildebeests are a primary food source for lions, particularly during migration when herds are more accessible. Their numbers and movements influence the population and behaviour of lion prides in the ecosystem.

I wanted the paint to show the link between the lion and the wildebeest. One cannot live without the other, despite the gruesome end result when a lion catches its prey. However this is the balance of life in nature. The lion's life is fraught with challenges in the wild. This is why big cats in captivity will live almost double the age to their counterparts in the wild. I love the eyes of this lion.

The original artwork was approximately A1 size and was watercolour paint with coloured pencils.

Giclée prints are printed digitally at a high resolution onto archival watercolour paper using pigment based inks which increases their lightfastness.

Large -     A2 (594 x 420 mm)

X Large - A1 (841 x 594 mm)

Delivery:

A5 to A3 size are shipped flat using very strong cardboard. A2 to A1 are shipped in a strong cardboard tube by Royal Mail within 5 - 10 business days of order (arrival times will vary depending on customer location).
